 27 February 2021 Reflection 7     This week was full of great learning experiences, I really enjoyed being able to look more into ads and how they work. It will definitely take time to master key words and what ones are best for attracting customers. The extent of how ads are created was not something that I had thought of before but I love to see the behind the scenes of how things in a business are done and to be able to learn how to do them myself. I really enjoy being able to learn about the small things that create small businesses and everything that goes behind it. When I first started taking classes, being an entrepreneur seemed so hard and all the things just seemed like it would never be something that I could figure it all out. Being able to learn about the small stuff behind the scenes and to know more clearly what I need to do to be a successful business owner makes it all seem so much more possible.

 20 February 2021 Reflection 6     This week we learned about google ads and keywords. This is something I grew up being aware of but not truly knowing how it worked. It was really cool to be able to look into how things work and to be able to find the right keywords to represent my business. I have not really thought about the kind of words you would have to use to find the right audience, but after reading into it it makes sense not to go too broad and not to go too narrow in the words you are describing your business as. I think it is often times a bigger mistake to get too narrow in the words because then you will not pull up on searches and will only be there for very specific searches, this can be dangerous and slow down traffic to your site. Going too broad in your description may also be something to your detriment as well because people will not be clicking on your ad because it had nothing to do with what they were searching for.  13 February 2021 Reflection 5    I am really glad we learned about Legal Structure this week, it is very important to to be able to be aware of everything needed to go into starting up a small business. If you go into it without knowing then you can get yourself into a lot of trouble and possibly lose a lot of individual assets. Taxes and legal structure has never been something that I have had a strong foundation on, so it made me realize how much research I needed to do about taxes and all the legal obligations I would have do in order to become a small business. I also need to look into the certain licenses I would need to get and at what point I would need to get those as well. I am excited for the prospect of being able to start my own business and get it up and running in this class.

 6 February 2021 Reflection 4     This week we learned about site guidelines and the things we have to be aware of to make our websites easier to follow. I really enjoyed looking through other people's websites and looking into the things that I like vs what I do not like about it. It makes it easier for me to know what I want without as much trial and error. I also love the simplicity of some of the websites I looked at, if you make your website too cluttered with things people will not know where to look or what you want them to do. Guiding them through your site is what the simple website do, they tell you click on this, buy this, its easy, do it. This is the power a well done website can have over the consumer. These are not unusual things to consciously know about, but it was a great reminder on what I need to add and what I need to leave out in order for it to be successful.
