Reflection 2

    Learning about Affiliate Marketing and Drop Shipping was the most exciting topic this week. It made me super interested at the possibility of being able to do that! Though it seems simple I know it would take a lot of work to set up the audience needed to be successful. I love being able to talk to other classmates in discussion groups and being able to see other's point of views on the subject as well because they can point out things I never would have thought of before. I find it very interesting the way drop shipping is something that people do a lot, I guess I never really understood how people bought and sold their products, or how businesses ran their inventory. I never understood how it worked but now that I see the ground level of some of these businesses that I know of, it becomes easier to imagine a time that I could have a successful business as well doing some of these techniques.

Reflection 9

 13 March 2021 Reflection 9     I really enjoyed everything that we did this week, especially starting to run our google ads. I think that was really fun to see the outcomes and to see the amount of clicks I was getting from the ads. I got a few clicks and a lot of impressions and a sale from it! It was fun to see the success that comes from it as well and the changes it makes when you narrow down your keywords as well to optimize your clicks and impressions. I have very much enjoyed selling my stickers and have already made 30 sales of them! I am over the $100 mark in sales but I still have more stickers to sell so I am not over $100 in profits. Which is okay with me I will get there eventually, it is just fun to see how things change as you market your product differently as well.

Reflection 6

 20 February 2021 Reflection 6     This week we learned about google ads and keywords. This is something I grew up being aware of but not truly knowing how it worked. It was really cool to be able to look into how things work and to be able to find the right keywords to represent my business. I have not really thought about the kind of words you would have to use to find the right audience, but after reading into it it makes sense not to go too broad and not to go too narrow in the words you are describing your business as. I think it is often times a bigger mistake to get too narrow in the words because then you will not pull up on searches and will only be there for very specific searches, this can be dangerous and slow down traffic to your site. Going too broad in your description may also be something to your detriment as well because people will not be clicking on your ad because it had nothing to do with what they were searching for. Reflection 4

 6 February 2021 Reflection 4     This week we learned about site guidelines and the things we have to be aware of to make our websites easier to follow. I really enjoyed looking through other people's websites and looking into the things that I like vs what I do not like about it. It makes it easier for me to know what I want without as much trial and error. I also love the simplicity of some of the websites I looked at, if you make your website too cluttered with things people will not know where to look or what you want them to do. Guiding them through your site is what the simple website do, they tell you click on this, buy this, its easy, do it. This is the power a well done website can have over the consumer. These are not unusual things to consciously know about, but it was a great reminder on what I need to add and what I need to leave out in order for it to be successful.
